Learning Paths
Step-by-step roadmaps for the languages and skills that matter in 2026. Each path is free, self-contained, and cross-linked to the others. Pick one. Follow it. Build something.
Every path follows the same 8-step format: quick answer → roadmap card → 8 steps with examples → common mistakes → realistic timeline → FAQ. Each step links to free reference pages and snippets on makuistudio.com. No signup. No paywall. No course upsells.
📊 Compare at a glance
| Path | Time | Prerequisites | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| 🐍 Python | 6–10 weeks | None | AI, data, automation, backend |
| ⚡ JavaScript | 8–12 weeks | HTML + CSS | Web, front-end, Node.js |
| 🌐 Web Development | 4–6 months | None | Front-end jobs, freelancing |
| 🤖 AI-Assisted Coding | 2–8 weeks | Basic coding | 10x productivity, AI products |
🎯 Which path should you start with?
Start with Python. It's the gentlest first language.
Start with Web Development. It covers HTML → CSS → JS in order.
Jump to JavaScript. That's your next step.
Go to AI-Assisted Coding. It's the fastest ROI.
📖 How to use these paths
Don't try to learn Python and JavaScript at the same time. Finish one, then move to the next.
Each path is sequenced. Steps build on each other. Don't skip ahead.
Step 8 of every path is a project. It's not optional. Tutorials don't teach you — projects do.
Each step links to relevant reference pages. Bookmark them. You'll come back often.
❓ Frequently asked questions
Are these learning paths really free?
Yes. Every path, every reference page, every snippet is free. No signup, no paywall, no course upsell. The only cost is your time and internet connection.
Do I need to pay for tools or subscriptions?
No. Python, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS are all free. For AI-assisted coding, GitHub Copilot has a free tier, and you can start learning with that. Paid tools are optional upgrades, not requirements.
Can I follow more than one path at a time?
We strongly recommend one at a time. Focus beats volume every time. Finish one path's project, then start the next.
Which path leads to a job fastest?
Web Development, if you finish all 8 steps and build the three portfolio projects. That's roughly 4–6 months of consistent work and it's the most direct path to junior developer roles.
How long is each step?
Steps range from 3 days to 3 weeks depending on the topic. The "Realistic Timeline" table at the bottom of each path gives exact estimates.
Will there be more paths?
Yes. Planned additions include TypeScript, React, Node.js, and data science. The current four cover the most in-demand skills for 2026.
