| Rs. 600,001 โ 1,200,000 | 1% of amount exceeding Rs. 600,000 |
| Rs. 1,200,001 โ 2,200,000 | Rs. 6,000 + 11% of amount exceeding Rs. 1,200,000 |

Note: A 10% surcharge applies if annual taxable income exceeds Rs. 10 million. This calculator includes that.
๐ง How the Calculation Works
The calculator uses the official FBR slabs for salaried individuals:
- Convert your salary to an annual amount (if entered monthly).
- Find the applicable tax slab for your annual income.
- Apply the formula: Fixed tax + (Rate ร Amount above slab lower limit).
- If annual income exceeds Rs. 10 million, add a 10% surcharge.
- Divide the annual tax by 12 to get your monthly deduction.
Example: Annual income Rs. 1,800,000.
โ Falls in slab 3 (Rs. 1,200,001โ2,200,000)
โ Tax = 6,000 + 11% ร (1,800,000 โ 1,200,000)
โ Tax = 6,000 + 11% ร 600,000 = Rs. 72,000
โ Effective rate = 72,000 รท 1,800,000 = 4.0%
